Basis Bay has taken the “Green” approach in the construction and operations of its Data Centres. The greening of a Data Centre means the mechanical, electrical and computer systems are designed for maximum energy efficiency with minimum environmental impact.
We recognise that IT infrastructure accounts for an inconsistent share of energy and as organisations are looking into ways to manage the environment, Basis Bay has created an approach to assist organisations to develop energy efficient and environmental friendly “Green” Data Centres.
We also ensure that our service providers and suppliers are in line with our “Green” objectives when negotiating and planning new contracts for advancement. Below are some of our approaches:
- Floor plan design best practices (hot aisle/cold aisle layout, distribution of power across racks, minimise/managed/plan under-floor cabling, etc.)
- Suitable energy saving technology
- Liquid cooling system
- Virtualise and consolidate
- Manage, Gauge & Maintain
