Storage Solution

In today’s fast pace environment, corporate data volumes are extending exponentially with continuous speedy access to mission-critical information. Organisations now are facing the ever increasing challenges of meeting storage demands of users. These include storage capacity, limitation in current storage architecture, explosive growth in storage, capacity needs as well as consequent increase in storage management cost.

The information an organisation seize represent the competitive edge it has over its competitor. Thus, the need to ensure that data is accessible and available at all times is critical.

Services

Direct Attached Storage (DAS)

A Direct Attached Storage (DAS) is the simplest level of storage architecture whereby devices are directly connected to the main server. DAS is an external storage device that connects directly to a single server. Besides handling the storage and retrieval of data files, the server will be able to handle application such as e-mails or databases.

Network Attached Storage (NAS)

A Network Attached Storage (NAS) is a server that is dedicated to do nothing more than file sharing. NAS is a hard disk storage, set up with its own network address rather than being attached to an organisation’s application server that is in use.

NAS consists of hard disk storage, including multi-disk RAID systems and software for configuring and mapping file locations to the network-attached device. NAS can be a step towards and included as part of a more sophisticated storage system known as a Storage Area Network (SAN).

Storage Area Network (SAN)

A Storage Area Network (SAN) is high-speed communications network that interconnects various data storage devices and servers for a larger network of users. Key benefits of a SAN solution will be high performance, scalability, flexibility, maximum use of resources and reduction of administration time/cost for a heterogeneous environment.

SAN support disk mirroring, backup and restore, archival and retrieval of archived data, data migration from one storage device to another and the sharing of data among different servers in a network. SANs can incorporate subnetworks with NAS systems.

File & Volume Management (Online Consolidated Storage)

Increase application performance and scalability by optimising storage resource utilisation. Simplify the complex task of administering storage and return users focus to the core competencies of their business.

Data & Application Availability

Data and application availability are critical for the business environment especially for effective disaster recovery strategy.
